1.) Dissertation Fieldwork Grant

Funded by: The Wenner-Gren Foundation

For students enrolled in a doctoral program (or equivalent if outside the U.S.) to support research in any area of anthropology. Qualified scholars are eligible without regard to nationality, institutional, or departmental affiliation.


2.) AFAC Documentary Program

Funded by: The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC)
For Arab filmmakers to support production/postproduction of a documentary exploring the social realities in the Arab World.

 

3.) Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Program

Funded by: U.S. Department of Education & International & Foreign Language Education

For ABD students at U.S. institution enrolled in modern foreign language and area studies programs with a research project focusing on Africa, the Near East, and other specific regions. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident with required foreign language skills to carry out project.

 

4.) Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans – for Graduate Students

Funded by: The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Trust

For naturalized or second generation U.S. citizens or permanent residents (see website for details) under age 31 who will apply to, or are in the first two years of a graduate program at a U.S. university in any field.

 

5.) Regional Events, Training and Research General Grant

Funded by: The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture

For projects in all fields of cultural production, research, training, and workshops, etc. by any Arab individual or at a non-Arab institution, as long as it is relevant to the Arab region.

 

6.) Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans – for Graduate Students

Funded by: The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Trust
